Description
Application
Pressure lock designated for water and water steam in particular in heating and power plants that allows, according to the type of the incorporated system, carrying out chemical cleaning, pres- sure tests and operation of equipment, especially boiler system.
Technical description
The body is formed by a die or smith forging with a cover f1ange or with a pressure seal bonnet and with a sealing ring made of asbestos-free material. The internal incorporated system of the pressure lock consists of:
For chemical cleaning (CH) and pressure testing (T):Seal- ing and thrust board, JERIT sealing and spacing bolt to induce specific pressure; the cover is fitted with a hole-branch outlet for chemical cleaning.
For operation (P):An insert and two forcing-off screws with washers and nuts. Pressure locks operate without control. They are supplied in accordance with special technical conditions in two pressure ranges – for medium pressure up to PN 100, with a cover f1ange and with a pressure seal bonnet for higher pres- sures.
Testing
The locks are tested with water (upon client request even by steam) for strength, impermeability, operation ability and tightness according to operating parameters and body material. Minimum strength testing pressure is 1,5 fold of PN. The body- extender weld is tested by X-ray scanning.
Installation
Pressure locks are installed in horizontal piping with the cover facing upwards. After completing the chemical cleaning, it is necessary to remove the cover for chemical cleaning and the sealing incorporated system, to check it for damage, to replace the sealing rings of the incorporated system, to install the incor- porated system into the pressure lock for tests and to mount the cover for pressure tests. It is necessary to remove the incorpo- rated sealing system and to replace it by the operational system after completing the pressure tests.
Connection
Butt-welded as per CSN, DIN, ANSI, GOST standards
